(CROSWELL) -- Streetscape construction will start along S. Howard Avenue in Croswell Tuesday, July 2. Crews will begin milling the street. All businesses will remain open for the duration of the project, which is expected to be complete by mid-October. The City was awarded a $253,000 Michigan Strategic Fund grant through the Community Block Grant Development for the installation of 40 decorative LED streetlights with Wi-Fi, parklet construction, and new recycled material benches. The project also includes sewer and water infrastructure upgrades and the reconstruction of roadways and sidewalks. City Manager Samuel Moore reminds the public that the downtown will remain open and parking is available behind the businesses. Project updates will be available on the City of Croswell facebook page.
