(AREA) -- Sandusky Police are warning area residents, garage sale goers, and business owners that several incidents of counterfeit money being passed have been reported in recent days. Officers are investigating after $50, $20, and $10 bills were found to be fake. Residents and business owners are asked to look at the bills carefully. According to police, the bills are not perfect copies. If you suspect a bill is counterfeit, contact the Sandusky Police Department at 810-648-4016. There is also a reward available for tips that lead to an arrest. You may remain anonymous.
