(FORT GRATIOT TOWNSHIP) -- An 87-year old Port Huron man was injured after the vehicle he was driving collided with a Fort Gratiot Fire Department rescue truck Wednesday. Sheriff Tim Donnellon says the Port Huron man was traveling south on State Road around 5:40 p.m. when witnesses say he failed to yield at the intersection with Keewahdin and was struck by the rescue truck, which was traveling east on Keewahdin. The firefighters were not injured and quickly began treating the man at the scene. He was later transported to Port Huron Hospital by Tri-Hospital EMS with undisclosed injuries. The crash remains under investigation.
