(SANDUSKY) -- A walk in support of finding a cure for juvenile diabetes was held last month at the Diamond Trail Park in Sandusky. The event was coordinated by Sandusky City Manager Dave Faber and his family. Faber's 6-year old daughter was diagnosed with type one diabetes a year ago. The family formed the "Callie's Village for a Cure Committee" to raise funds for the cause. Over $10,000 was raised for the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation during the walk and a check was presented to foundation representatives from Lansing Wednesday evening at the Diamond Trail Park.
