(AREA) -- The Sandusky Community Schools Food Service Program is sponsoring a Summer Food Service Program for Children. Free meals will be made available to children 18-years of age and under and to people up to age 26 who are enrolled in an educational program for the mentally or physically disabled that is recognized by a state or local public educational agency. The meals will be served at Doerr Field/Sandusky City Park on West Speaker Street, the Sandusky High School on E. Pine Tree Lane, and at Humpty Dumpty Day Care on South Stoutenburg Road from 11:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. June 10-July 13. Each site will be closed July 1-5 in observance of the Independence Holiday.
Croswell-Lexington Schools are also participating in the Summer Food Service Program for children. Meals will be offered at Frostick Elementary School's cafeteria and Meyer Elementary's cafeteria from 11:30 a.m.-1 p.m. Monday through Friday, June 17-August 23. Meals will not be available July 4 and 5 in observance of the Independence Holiday. Adults are welcome to bring their children. The cost of an adult lunch is $2.
