Strong winds knock down barn

(SANILAC COUNTY) -- Straight line winds are to blame for a destroyed barn, damage to the roof of a second barn and uprooted trees at 1875 Rangeline Road. Sanilac County Emergency Management Director Todd Hillman says winds gusting between 40 and 60 mph hit the property in Custer Township around 2 p.m. Friday afternoon. No injuries were reported. Residents in the southeastern part of the state have been dealing with severe thunderstorms and damaging winds since Tuesday evening.
