Brown City Council schedules public hearing on Even-Year Elections

(BROWN CITY) -- Brown City Council members Monday night were informed of the annual audit of the city, library and fire department conducted earlier this month. City Manager Clint Holmes says no discrepancies were noted during the city's portion of the audit and the council will receive a formal presentation of the results at the June 10th regular meeting. In other business, a public hearing was scheduled for Monday, June 10 at 7:15 p.m. for discussion on changing the even and odd year elections to even-year elections in the city. Jennifer DeVriendt began working as the office clerk this week and Sean Leathers joined the Brown City Police Department on a part-time basis. Officer Leathers orientation started Monday. He also works part-time for the Metamora and Yale Police Departments.
