(PORT HURON) -- 38-year old Sara Ylen is due back in St. Clair County District Court on June 4 for a preliminary exam. The Lexington woman was arraigned Wednesday on charges of falsely reporting a rape and tampering with evidence. Not-guilty pleas were entered on her behalf. Authorities say she falsely accused a man of rape last September and used makeup to create what looked like bruises. The false felony report charge carries a maximum 4-years in prison, while the tampering with evidence charge carries a maximum 10-years if convicted. The charges in St. Clair County are from one of two criminal cases against Ylen. She's also accused of six felony counts of fraud in Sanilac County after claiming for years that she had cancer. State police say they couldn't find a doctor who made that diagnosis. In November, in a different case, a man convicted of raping Ylen was released from prison after nearly 10-years. New evidence showed Ylen had made false rape allegations that same year in California and the St. Clair County prosecutor's office dropped the case.
