Deckerville Schools approve bids for summer projects

(DECKERVILLE) -- The Deckerville School Board approved the Summer 2013 Bond Project bids as recommended by Superintendent Tricia Pawlowski during Monday's meeting. The parking lot improvements will total $163,000, additional inside and outside cameras will cost $15,885, security monitoring and access entry will cost $31,168, a generator will be installed for $33,030 and lighting upgrades in the Superintendent and Elementary offices will cost $6,400 for a total cost of $249,483 in improvements.

In other business, board members directed Superintendent Pawlowski to move forward with a deficit budget for the 2013-2014 school year. No cuts are being recommended at this time.
