(LEXINGTON TOWNSHIP) -- A two-vehicle crash in Sanilac County's Lexington Township sent five people to the hospital Wednesday morning. Sheriff Garry Biniecki says the crash at the intersection of Peck and Wixon Roads took place at around 8:30 a.m. when a vehicle driven by 27-year old Sarah Lukitsch of Lexington made a left turn onto Peck Road, in the path of a minivan traveling west along Peck Road. The minivan was driven by 53-year old Sheryl Webb of Lexington. Both vehicles struck nearly head on causing the minivan to leave the roadway and come to rest in a field. Deputies say both drivers and three passengers in the Webb vehicle were taken to Port Huron Hospital for unspecified injuries. Webb's passengers included 39-year old Charles Goodwine of Croswell and two children. Croswell Police, the Lexington Fire Department and Croswell EMS personnel assisted at the scene.
