(CROSWELL) -- Motorcycle riders are invited to take part in a fundraiser ride Saturday, May 18 in support of the Croswell Fire Department's effort to purchase a new set of Jaws of Life. Croswell business Shawcycles is hosting the "Jaws of Life Ride 2013," with all of the proceeds going toward the purchase. The volunteer department has raised $12,000 of the $35,000 needed for a new set of Jaws, the tools used to help victims trapped in vehicles or farm equipment at the time of an accident. The ride on Saturday, May 18 will start at the Croswell Fire Hall at 11 a.m. Following the ride, hot dogs, chips, and pop will be served at the hall. To register visit www.croswellfirefighters.org for a form. The cost is $20 per rider and $10 per passenger when you pre-register. Same day registration costs $25 per rider and $15 per passenger. A bike show will be held after the ride and awards will be given for the Furthest Distance, Best Paint, Best Custom, Oldest Bike, and Best Trike. There will also be a 50/50 raffle.
