Names of 3 released in fatal golf team crash

EXCELSIOR TOWNSHIP, Mich. (AP) - Authorities have released the names of three people who died in a crash involving a northern Michigan high school golf team. They are 18-year-old student Louis Menard, 28-year-old golf coach Jason Potter and 27-year-old Cassandra Stapleton, who was a passenger in another vehicle. Potter was driving six members of the Grayling High School golf team to a tournament Monday when the van collided with another at an intersection in Kalkaska County's Excelsior Township, about 25 miles east of Traverse City. State police say the seven people in both vehicles who survived are at Munson Medical Center, including two students in critical condition.
