(DETROIT) -- Chevrolet Detroit Grand Prix officials have teamed up with the College for Creative Studies, based in Detroit's Midtown District, and Autoweek to host a poster design competition featuring CCS Illustration students. Through the competition, one student was selected to create the official commemorative poster that represents the fastest weekend of the summer0the Chevrolet Detroit Belle Isle Grand Prix, May 31-June 2, 2013. This year's winner is Nick Shoremaner. The poster design will be produced, showcased and sold in the weeks leading up to the return of the world-class auto racing event in the Motor City.
The top three entries were awarded cash prizes provided by Autoweek, the Detroit-based automotive publication that has an established working relationship with CCS and the Grand Prix. The 5-judge panel included Bud Denker, CCS graduate and renowned Detroit artist Camilo Pardo, Autoweek creative director Ken Ross, Craig Sass, Corvette Stingray Interior Design Manager, and WXYZ-TV Channel 7 Sports Direct Tom Leyden.
