(CARSONVILLE-PORT SANILAC) -- Carsonville-Port Sanilac school board members approved the retirement of long-time employee Ann Binienda Tuesday, with best wishes in her future endeavors. Binienda began her career as a teacher at CPS in 1978, moved to the position of High School Principal in 2000 and then became Superintendent in 2011. Mrs. Binienda started and managed a very successful student school store and has served in numerous positions through the years, including CPSEA Union President, Athletic Director, and as a coach. The board thanked Mrs. Binienda for her 36-years of dedication to CPS students, staff and the community. The board of education is now in the process of looking for an interim superintendent.
