City of Croswell reorganizes Electric Department

(CROSWELL) -- With the impending retirement of Electric Department Supervisor Jack Williams, the Croswell City Council took steps to reorganize the department at Monday's meeting. City Manager Samuel Moore will handle the administrative duties, while employees John Peck and Troy Todd will handle day-to-day operations. Council members noted that the operation will be evaluated after 6-months. The council had been discussing the placement of the electric, DPW, and wastewater departments, under the direction of one supervisor. Williams is retiring in June after 40-years of service with the city.

The council also approved a resolution for "inter-local" cooperation, collaboration, and consolidation between the various communities in the area. The agreement allows the cities and villages to share equipment and resources. By adopting the resolution, Croswell will be able to take advantage of financial incentives from the State of Michigan.
