(LEXINGTON) -- The manager of the Lexington Municipal Mobile Home Park was arrested on charges of embezzlement after a joint investigation into a large sum of money that was unaccounted for during a routine audit. 52-year old Cheryl Ann Vincent of Lexington was arraigned Monday on two felony counts of embezzlement by an agent or trustee of $1,000 or more, but less than $20,000 and a misdemeanor charge of embezzlement by an agent or trustee of $200 or more, but less than $1,000. Vincent was released on a $50,000 personal bond and is scheduled to appear for a preliminary exam April 30 in Sanilac County District Court. The investigation between the Sanilac County Sheriff's Department and Lexington Police revealed that approximately $18,000 was found missing and should have been recorded as rent payments by the tenants to the Mobile Home Manager. Authorities say the embezzlement took place July 2011 through November 2012 and totaled over 200 missing cash receipts.
