(UBLY) -- Marlette Regional Hospital Foundation's Hunting for Health fundraiser raised over $19,000 for the Prostate Cancer Understanding, Prevention and Screenings program. P.C.U.P.S. funding is used to provide free prostate specific antigen blood cancer screenings to men in the Thumb area. 122 hunters participated March 22 and 23 at the Rooster Ranch in Ubly during a European style pheasant hunt and a walk-up hunt. Thirty-four sponsors supported the event, along with numerous in-kind donors and volunteers. Hunting for Health Committee Co-Chairmen Tom Albrecht, Paul Lamm, and Shane Strickler, the volunteer committee and staff of Marlette Regional Hospital would like to thank all of the sponsors, supporters, and hunters that made the event such a success.
