(COLUMBUS TOWNSHIP) -- Three Detroit area men arrested Wednesday following a home invasion in St. Clair County's Columbus Township have been arraigned. 25-year old Adrian Evans and 40-year old Mario Burrell have been charged with two counts of second degree home invasion. 27-year old Timothy Bennett was charged with three counts of second degree home invasion and third degree fleeing and eluding police. Sheriff Tim Donnellon says the suspects allegedly entered a home in the 6000 block of Springborn Road around 10:30 a.m. Wednesday. A neighbor was able to give deputies a description of the vehicle that left the residence. The vehicle was located an hour later by deputies on Gratiot near Rattle Run and a short chase ensued. The driver lost control of the car and entered the ditch. All three suspects jumped out of the vehicle and took off on foot. Two of the three men were caught. The Sheriff's Office K-9 was called to assist in finding the third suspect. He was later found inside a house in the 7600 block of Gratiot, hiding from authorities. Stolen items from the Springborn Road home were recovered. All three men remain jailed on $50,000 cash/surety bonds. They are scheduled to appear in 72nd District Court April 2.
