(LEXINGTON) -- A six alarm fire was reported at Huron Incorporated in Lexington Friday night just before 10:30 p.m. Emergency crews found flames and smoke coming from a portion of the factory building at 6554 Lakeshore Road when they arrived on the scene. A section of M-25 was closed to traffic and reopened around 4:30 a.m. Employees inside the building at the time of the blaze followed the company's fire plan and evacuated. There were no injuries reported. Fire officials believe the cause of the fire was electrical. Huron Inc. designs and produces tubular assemblies and precision machined components for the automotive industry. Employees were asked not to report to work on Monday or Tuesday. Production is expected to resume by the middle of the week. Around 280 people are employed at Huron Incorporated. Lexington firefighters were assisted by the Applegate, Croswell, Burtchville Township, Grant Township and Sandusky Fire Departments Friday night.
