(SANILAC COUNTY) -- A 52-year old Marion Township man remains jailed on several felony charges stemming from his arrest early Sunday morning during a domestic disturbance. Terry Lee Groesbeck was arraigned Monday on felony charges of assault with intent to commit murder, felonious assault, possession of a firearm while intoxicated, and domestic assault. Sanilac County Sheriff Garry Biniecki says Groesbeck was arrested at a residence in the 2500 block of Mills Road. Deputies were sent to the home for a domestic disturbance involving the use of a firearm with shots fired. Upon arrival, deputies say the intoxicated suspect was attempting to flee in a vehicle after allegedly firing a shotgun at his wife and her ex-husband. Deputies stopped the vehicle near the driveway of the residence and took Groesbeck into custody without incident. The shotgun was recovered. It was determined that shots had been fired, but no one was hurt. Bond was set at $500,000 cash/surety at arraignment and Groesbeck is scheduled to appear for a preliminary exam on Tuesday, March 19 in Sanilac County District Court.
