(LEXINGTON) -- Michigan State Police Troopers from the Caro Post arrested a 68-year old Lexington man early Monday morning on two counts of felonious assault after the man allegedly brandished two long guns toward his wife and adult granddaughter. Troopers were dispatched to the Lexington residence and advised that the man was intoxicated and suicidal. The man had also allegedly made threats to harm his neighbor. The man's family fled from the home for their own safety. The Michigan State Police Emergency Support Team arrived and the suspect left the residence and was taken into custody without incident. Troopers were also assisted by the Sanilac County Sheriff's Department. The man remains jailed pending arraignment.
