(DETROIT) -- The 2012 Detroit Sports Broadcasters Association Detroit Lions Rookie of the Year Award goes to wide receiver Ryan Broyles of the University of Oklahoma. The Detroit Sports Broadcasting Association has been awarding the Rookie of the Year award since 2002. Broyles caught 22 passes for 310 yards and 2 touchdowns in 2012. His career-high game came on November 22, 2012 against the Houston Texans went he caught 6 passes for 126 yards in Detroit's loss on Thanksgiving Day. Broyles ended the 2012 season on injured reserve.
