(CASCO TOWNSHIP) -- A three-vehicle crash injured one person late Tuesday night on eastbound I-94 near Meisner Road in St. Clair County's Casco Township. Sheriff Tim Donnellon says ice conditions caused the crash, which occurred shortly after 11:30 p.m. The first vehicle lost control on the slick roadway and struck the median barrier. The second vehicle spun out of control, also striking the barrier. A third car lost control and struck the driver of the second vehicle, who had exited his vehicle. The injured driver, 59-year old Rodney Thompson of Port Huron, was transported to Port Huron Hospital with non-life threatening injuries. Eastbound I-94 was closed from 26 Mile Road to Fred Moore Highway for about two hours following the crash. The freeway was opened to traffic shortly after 2 a.m. Wednesday morning. Ira Township Fire and Rescue assisted deputies at the scene.
