Port Huron man jailed for possessing child sexually abusive material

(PORT HURON) -- A 44 year old Port Huron resident was arraigned Thursday on a six count felony warrant stemming from a complaint of possessing child sexually abusive material. James Arthur Nofs stood mute in front of Magistrate Tim Cook on the charges. His bond was set at $200,000. Nofs was charged with child abusive commercial activity, communicating with another to commit crime via computer/Internet, three counts of child sexually abusive material and using a computer to commit a crime. The case was set for a preliminary examination on February 12 in front of Judge John Monaghan.
