Donations sought for Parkway Place fire victims

(AREA) -- Donations are being accepted for residents of the Parkway Place Apartments in Port Sanilac that were displaced by the fire Sunday, January 27. Their most urgent needs were mattress and bed frame sets. Those have been supplied and now a collection has been set up to pay for the items. Area residents wishing to help, may send donations to the Project Blessing Thrift Shop, 4 S. Marsh Street, P.O. BOX 233, Carsonville, MI 48419. Please make checks payable to Project Blessing and put "Parkway Place" in the memo line. All donations are greatly appreciated and will be tax deductible. The apartment complex located at 7081 Huron Street in Port Sanilac was a total loss. Seven fire departments and over 76 firefighters fought the blaze in freezing temperatures.
