(FLYNN TOWNSHIP) -- The 25-year old Snover man accused of stealing cattle from a Flynn Township resident in November has been sentenced to 10 months in jail. Steven Galloway was charged with attempted larceny more than $1,000 and less than $20,000 following his arrest and plead guilty to the charge in December. Sheriff's deputies say the owner of the cattle, Matthew Sutton, informed deputies that he had purchased 10 Holstein cattle from the Cass City Stock Yards and the next day, noticed four of his cattle were missing. That evening, Galloway was found on Sutton's property with five feeder calves loaded into the back of a suspect trailer. Sutton said the cattle were worth $1,100 each. Galloway was given credit for 62 days served and must pay court costs and fines.
