Michigan Corn Growers Association annual meeting brings information to state's corn farmers

(AREA) -- The latest information and industry updates regarding corn in Michigan will be discussed at the 2013 Annual Meeting of the Michigan Corn Growers Association on Monday, February 4 at the Radisson Hotel in downtown Lansing. Registration, including a full breakfast, will begin at 9:30 a.m. with the program to follow at 10 a.m. This year's speakers include Pam Johnson, newly elected President of the National Corn Growers Association, Jeff Sandborn, MCGA president and NCGA Ethanol Committee member, Derek Bajema, Legislative Liaison for the Michigan Department of Agriculture and Rural Development, Ed Breitmeyer, a Michigan corn grower and U.S. Grains Council Advisory Board member, and Dr. Coleman Jones, Biofuel Implementation Manager for General Motors in North America. The keynote speaker will be veteran NASCAR driver Kenny Wallace, who will talk about his support of ethanol and America's farmers.
