Marlette Community Schools have announced that Millington Schools Superintendent Lawrence R. Kroswek would be serving in the interim as the district begins the search for its next administrator.

Meeting with staff on Wednesday, March 15, Superintendent Kroswek released a letter on Thursday to thank the board for the support and opportunity to serve in the interim while reassuring parents and students that he was ready for the task, saying that he is “committed and focused on supporting a positive educational environment,” and “thankful to join such a committed and dedicated staff.”

The decision was made at this past Monday night’s board meeting, with the board voting who to take over the duties of the resigning superintendent, Matthew Karaffa.

Though his official end-date is June 30, Karaffa’s duties ended after a meeting last Thursday, which also saw the conclusion of the investigation against him.
