Bad Axe man found guilty of stalking ex-wife

A Huron County jury found 44-year-old Jason David Blackstock of Bad Axe guilty of aggravated stalking and using a computer to commit a crime. Convicted yesterday following a two day trial and an hour of deliberation, Blackstock could face up to 12 years in prison for the actions leading to his January arrest in a school hallway during a Bad Axe High School basketball game.

Charges stem from an investigation by Bad Axe PD into the constant harassment of his ex-wife, both through physical and digital means, going so far as to violated a personal protection order and put a lewd photograph on the car windshield belonging to the ex-wife’s new boyfriend as it was parked outside of the high school.

Blackstock is scheduled for sentencing at 9:00 a.m. on Monday, July 25. Despite being free on bond currently, Blackstock has violated it once before, specifically by harrassing his ex for the four days after January’s personal protective order was issued.
