Tomorrow is National Drug Take Back Day and your local police departments are participating!

Led by the Sanilac County Drug Task Force and the Sanilac County Sheriff’s Office, local departments have set up pill drop boxes in the lobbies of the following places. You can drop off your expired or unwanted pills during business hours at Marlette’s City Hall Lobby, 6434 Morris Street, Marlette; the Deckerville Healthcare Center, 2433 Black River Road, Deckerville; Peck’s Village Hall, 30 E. Lapeer Street, Peck; and Brown City’s City Council Hall, 4205 Main Street, Brown City.

There will also be a drop box at the lobby entrance of the Sanilac County Sheriff’s Office, which is open 24 hours a day. You can also arrange to drop the pills off with the Lexington Police Department by calling 810-359-8242. If you miss these days and times, remember, you can call the Sanilac Drug Task Force year-round to do a no-contact pickup of pills for disposal. If you have further questions about National Drug Take Back Day, or to schedule a no-contact pickup, call the task force at 810-648-4580.
