Kimball church employee arrested for child sexual abuse

A former employee of a church in Kimball has been arrested following a months-long investigation into allegations of sexual assault. The 28-year-old man was an employee at the River Church in Fort Gratiot Township, where he is accused of sexually abusing four juvenile victims that he allegedly fostered a relationship with through the church. The alleged incidents date back to 2014. The man was arrested around midnight Thursday night in the 1500 block of Palmer Court in Port Huron. He is expected to be arraigned today (Friday) on two counts of second-degree criminal sexual conduct, two counts of fourth-degree criminal sexual conduct, distributing sexually explicit material to a minor, aggravated indecent exposure and using computers to commit a crime. St. Clair County Sheriff Mat King says the man’s identity is being withheld pending arraignment.
