Two homes raided; five arrested

(ST. CLAIR COUNTY) – Five people were arrested following a pair of raids by the St. Clair County Drug Task Force last week.

According to Sheriff Mat King, the DTF conducted investigations into the sales of narcotics in the Port Huron area. Just before 8 p.m. Tuesday, a search warrant was executed in the 100 block of 13th Street in the Port Huron.

DTF members seized crack cocaine, drug packaging and a scale. Also seized was a 2006 Hummer H2.

A 51-year old Port Huron man was arrested at the residence and lodged at the St. Clair County Intervention and Detention Center. He faces charges including possession with intent to deliver cocaine, maintaining a drug house and being a habitual 4th offender.

The following day, around 10:30 p.m., the Drug Task Force conducted at raid at a residence in the 3900 block of Military Street, also in Port Huron.

During the search of the residence, methamphetamine, cocaine, Suboxone strips and prescription drugs were seized, along with a scale and drug packaging materials.

A 2009 Mercury Mariner that had been reported stolen out of Port Huron Township was also seized. Two men, ages 58 and 44 and two women, ages 35 at 28 were arrested at the home.

They face charges including possession with intent to distribute cocaine, possession with intent to distribute methamphetamine, maintaining a drug house, receiving and concealing stolen property and other charges.
