Marlette 52, Unionville-Sebewaing 43 – Grant Roberson fired in 21 and Collin Miller asdded 20 to help life the Red Raiders to vixctory. The winners were on top 26-20 at the half and outscored their opponents 17-11 in the fourth quarter to seal the win.

Deckerville 59, at Capac 51 – Ethan Bowerman pumped in17 points and Cole Shutz chipped in with 13 to send the Eagles into the finals of the Harry Moore tournament in Capac. In the title game, Imlay City won the tournament with the win over Deckerville. Bowerman had 15 in a losing cause while Shuz tallied 12.
Kingston 50, Bay City All Saints 29
Cros-Lex 63, Marysville 19 – three players score 10 points apiece for the Pionfeers who rolled to the non-conference win. The Pioneers led 29-6 after one quarter. 10 of 13 players scored, led by Jake Townsend, Saige Slanac and Peyton Edwards, all with 10 points.

Deckerville 44, Capac 11 at Harry Moore Tournament in Capac – The winners jumped out in front 7-1 in the first quarter and led 36-8 after three quarters. A 26-3 second half advantage sent the Lady Eagles to the title game Saturday night against Imlay City.

 

Legion hockey
The Easter Thumb Legion hockey team scored a 6-4 win over Bay Area over the weekend, as Peck’s Caleb Lentner lit the lamp four times. Brady Franzel added a goal and two assists and Ethan Jones also scored for the winners. Josh Smith was between the pipes for Legion, kicking aside 26 shots on goal. Legion will take on Lapeer Tuesday night at 6:30 p.m. at the Colleen J Howe Ice Arena.

HS BASKETBALL – SATURDAY

The Imlay City HS Boys & Girls teams won the annual Harry C Moore Tournament on Saturday at Capac HS. The Imlay City Girls defeated Deckerville 66 – 21, and the Imlay City Boys won over Deckerville 67 – 51.
