(TUSCOLA COUNTY) – Two good Samaritan citizens are

being credited with the rescue of a Tuscola County woman Saturday afternoon. Troopers from the Caro Post were dispatched to the area of Ormes Road and Lewis Road for a vehicle, upside down, in the Cass River just before 5 p.m.

Before troopers and firefighters from Frankenmuth arrived, the female driver, and lone occupant, was removed from her car by two unknown males. Troopers say 20-year old Haley Wilson of Fairgrove, was travelling westbound on Ormes Road in Tuscola Township when she failed to negotiate a curve in the roadway and began to enter the south shoulder.

Wilson overcorrected her steering, according to Troopers, and came back across Ormes Road and ran off the north side of the roadway. The vehicle flipped over into the Cass River.

Following the rescue, Wilson was taken to a Saginaw area hospital for treatment of serious injuries. Troopers were assisted at the scene by the Tuscola County Sheriff’s Office, Vassar police, fire departments from and Millington and Mobile Medical Response.  (CourtesyPhoto)
