Babcock Elected to Health & Hospital Association Board

 

 

Members of the Michigan Health & Hospital Association (MHA) elected new officers and appointed board members during the association’s virtual Annual Membership Meeting June 24.

Dan Babcock, CEO, United Healthcare Partners-Deckerville Community Hospital and Marlette Regional Hospital has been elected as MHA’s Treasurer during the association’s 2021-2022 program year beginning July 1, 2021.

The board directs the greater Lansing-based association’s statewide representation of hospitals and healthcare providers.

He joins Tina Freese Decker, President and CEO, Spectrum Health, Grand Rapids, Chair, T. Anthony Denton, Senior Vice President and COO, University of Michigan Health System, Ann Arbor, Chair-Elect, and Edwin Ness, President and CEO, Munson Healthcare, Traverse City, Immediate Past Chair.

“I am humbled and honored to be a part of the MHA board and to serve on the Executive Committee as its Treasurer.”

He added, ” This position will allow me to advocate at the State level for rural health issues, plus provide me the opportunity to work with some of the brightest and most accomplished healthcare leaders in our State.  I look forward to learning how I can help make healthcare better for our patients now and in the years to come.”
