(ST. CLAIR COUNTY) – Emergency crews responded to a report of a motorcycle-vehicle accident in Brockway Township Saturday evening, just north of Yale.

Several residents had reported witnessing a number of motorcycles going through town at a high rate of speed, heading north. Around 7:30 p.m., the Brockway Township Fire Department, Tri-Hospital EMS and the St. Clair County Sheriff department responded to the intersection of M-19 and Jeddo Road.

According to deputies, a motorcycle, driven by a 27-year old Melvin man and a truck, driven by a 21-year old Brockway Township man were both northbound on Brockway Road, just north of Yale.

The motorcycle attempted to pass the truck, as the truck was turning west onto Jeddo. The motorcycle struck the truck, sliding partially underneath of it.

The driver of the motorcycle was taken by Tri-Hospital EMS to McLaren Port Huron for what were believed to be minor injuries.

No other injuries were reported. The crash remains under investigation.
