(SANILAC COUNTY) – A third suspect has been sentenced in the 2019 bank robbery in Marlette.

20-year old Elizac Taylor of Warren was sentenced earlier in April by Sanilac County Circuit Court by Circuit Judge Timothy Wrathell.

He was sentenced to 36 months to 25 years for bank robbery, with an additional $558 in fines and costs.

Taylor was credited for 126 days in jail.

Police say Taylor was one of three men arrested for the armed robbery at the Chase Bank in Marlette back in 2019.

His brother, 21-year old Edward Taylor Jr. of Troy, along with 20-year old Dustin Ross of Almont, were sentenced in March.

Edward Taylor pleaded guilty to bank robbery and was sentenced to 42 months to 25 years with credit for 177 days served.

Ross–the getaway driver in the robbery–accepted a plea deal and was allowed to plead guilty to the lesser charge of unarmed robbery and was sentenced to 365 days in the county jail plus 24 months probation.
