Sandusky golfer sets new school records

It was a record breaking day for one Sandusky golfer last Friday when the Redskin’s golf team won the Ubly Invitational. Sandusky finished with a score of 342, 25 strokes better then second place Lakers.

In the process, Sandusky junior Christian Long broke two school records, shooting an incredible 33 on the front nine at Ubly Heights to break the old record of 35.

Christian finished the day with a 71 to take Medalist honors and break the 18 hole record of 72 that was held by current Sandusky assistant coach Brandon Weiler.

Coach John Guttowsky said Christian and the entire team was excited about setting the records, but the coach was not surprised, saying Christian has been dedicated to his sport since he was very young.

Other Sandusky scores at the Ubly match include Kyle Guibord and Landon DeLong who both carded rounds of 90 while Carson Shampo and Brandon Trepkowski each came into the clubhouse with scores of 91.
