Yale school board considers 20 applicants for Superintendent

(ST. CLAIR COUNTY) – The Yale Public Schools Board of Education continues their work on finding a replacement for their retiring Superintendent and have a pool of 20 candidates to choose from.

The board was scheduled to meet this week to narrow the field of applicants befroe beginning interviews on Wednesday and Thursday of next week.

Superintendent Kenneth Nichol recently announced that he would be retiring at the end of this school year, after serving the district in many capacities including educator and administration, for several years.

The school board has hired Michigan Association of School Boards to assit them with their search.

It is expected the new Superintendent will be selected in the coming weeks.
