GIRLS HOOPS

Sandusky 53 Marine City Cardinal Mooney 29 – Brooke Jansen scored 14 points and had 7 boards to spark Sandusky to their season opening win. The Lady Redskins had ten players score in the game and outscored their opponents 26-10 in the second half. The winners held a 16-1 advantage in the fourth quarter. The winners canned three triples and went 7 of 15 from the free throw line to roll to the win. Sandusky will be back in action when they travel to Laker Thursday night.

BOYS BASKETBALL SCORES:

DECKERVILLE 66, BAY CITY ALL SAINTS 49 – The Eagles poured in 22 third quarter points to cruise to the win. Traitren Colesa fired in 21 points, including 11 points in the first quarter, and finished with five three-pointers to pace the winners. Ethan Bowerman tossed in 12 points and Ben Moller had 10 to lead a list of eight Deckerville scorers.

DRYDEN 72, C-PS 23 – Dryden raced out to a 34-9 first half lead and never looked back in the NCTL win. Tyler McClelland led the Tigers with nine points, all on three-point shots. Trenton Mitchell chipped in with eight points.

KINGSTON 65, OWENDALE-GAGETOWN 27 – Carter Geister led Kingston with 17 points. Ronnie Lemke had 14, while Trayton Wenzlaff added 11. Kingston returns to the court Friday, hosting conference rival Deckerville.
