BREAKING NEWS:
Officials from the Governor’s Office and the MDHHS have given the green light on “practices and competitions” to resume Monday, February 8th.
The wearing of masks will be required when athletes are not competing (sitting on the bench) – but it sounds like while in competition, for basketball and wrestling – athletes will NOT have to wear a mask.
However, schools will re required to conduct COVID testing of teams/athletes prior to competition. Guidelines from the MDHHS is expected to be announced for high school competition on Sunday, February 7th.
