Traffic stops lead to arrests; drugs

The Sanilac County Drug Task Force was assisted in conducting two traffic stops last week where methamphetamine was located. Both traffic stops lead to the driver being arrested on methamphetamine charges.

A 10/20/20 traffic stop took place in Elk Township. During the traffic stop methamphetamine and paraphernalia consistent with the distribution of methamphetamine were located and seized.

A 34 year old male from the area was arrested and lodged at the Sanilac County Jail pending arraignment on multiple drug and traffic related charges. The suspect also had multiple outstanding warrants for his arrest.

The Sanilac County Drug Task Force was assisted by the Sanilac County Sheriff’s Office during the investigation.

An additional traffic stop took place on 10/23/20 within the City of Sandusky. During that traffic stop methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia were located and seized.

The driver, a 33 year old Snover man was arrested and lodged at the Sanilac County Jail pending arraignment on drug and traffic related charges. He also had multiple outstanding warrants for his arrest.
