Two-vehicle rollover accident in Sanilac County

 

 

 

 

 

The intersection of Todd Road and Galbraith Line in Sanilac County’s Fremont Township was closed for several hours for an investigation following a two-vehicle crash Wednesday afternoon. Four ambulances responded to the scene.

 

(SANILAC COUNTY) -A two-vehicle accident in Sanilac County’s Fremont Township Wednesday afternoon sent several people to Port Huron area hospitals for treatment of injuries.

According to the Sanilac County Sheriff Department, emergency personnel responded to the intersection of Todd and Galbraith Line Roads shortly after 4:30 p.m.

Deputies found that a 66-year-old Dearborn Heights man was driving south on Todd Road in a full-sized Ford Van and failed to stop at the stop sign at Galbraith Line Road.

The man’s van struck a Ford pickup truck in the driver’s side door, causing the truck to rollover into a nearby farm field. The truck was traveling east at the time of the collision.

The truck was being driven by a 49-year-old woman with three passengers, a 23 year-old woman and a 2-year-old and a 3-year-old all from Croswell.

The Dearborn Heights man and both Croswell women were treated on scene and transported to area hospitals by Croswell EMS and Tri-Hospital EMS.

Both children were uninjured. The intersection was closed for around four hours while deputies investigated the crash.

The accident remains under investigation by the Sanilac County Sheriff’s Office.

Deputies were assisted by Croswell fire, police and EMS, Tri-Hospital EMS and the St. Clair County Sheriff’s Office.
