Croswell fire and EMS kept busy; Structure fire

Croswell EMS and fire departments were kept busy Wednesday, responding to five calls. Fire Chief Steve Bales said his department responded with EMS units to medical calls throughout the day, prior to a serious two-vehicle rollover accident in Fremont Township around 4:30 p.m. All three Croswell EMS units responded to the accident along with Croswell fire units. Shortly after clearing that scene, around 9 p.m., Chief Bales said his department was called to a residential structure fire on Harrington Road. According to fire officials, the majority of the fire damage was to the upstairs of the two-story home, forcing a family of eight from their home. Chief Bales said Croswell was assisted by Lexington fire departments with firefighters remaining on scene for around two hours. No injuries were reported and the American Red Cross was called to help the family.
