Over 8,500 absentee ballots requested in Sanilac County

 

 

 

 

Sanilac County Clerk Denis McGuire reports more than 8,500 absentee ballots have been issued by the Local Clerks in preparation for the upcoming Presidential Election.

Officials are expecting a larger than normal turnout, both with absentee voting and at the polls November 3rd.

Any qualified elector who is not already registered, may register to vote at the office of the appropriate City or Township Clerk, the office of the County Clerk; a Secretary of State Branch Office or other designated State Agency.

The last day to register in any manner, other than in-person with the Local Clerk, is Monday, October 19th.

In-person registration with the Local Clerk, with proof of residency (MCL 168.492) period is October 20, 2020 through November 3, 2020 until 8:00 p.m.

Election Day registrants may apply and vote an absent voter ballot in person when registering at the Clerk’s Office.
