Port Huron Police Department reports rash of vehicle break-ins

The Port Huron Police Department is reminding residents to lock their vehicles and hide any valuables after receiving several reports of larceny from cars recently. According to police, a total of 36 unlocked vehicles have been entered since August 9th. The locations are spread out over a large area in Port Huron, from as far north as the 500 block of Lakeview Avenue to the 1000 block of Union Street. Police say a cluster was also concentrated in the area west of 10th Avenue, between Lincoln Avenue and Lyon Street. With the winter months approaching, authorities remind residents to lock their cars, even when warming them up.
