Marlette Chamber to Host Kick-Off to Fall Festivities

(MARLETTE) – Shop, dine, and entertain local with the Marlette Area Chamber of Commerce Friday, September 25th for the Kick-Off to Fall event happening in downtown Marlette!

COVID-19 restrictions did not allow for many of the fun festivities that were highlights of last year’s Fall Family Fun Day, so this year’s event is scaled back and contact-free for the safety of all in attendance.

The Farmers Market will kick-off festivities from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Area shops will have their Fall Open Houses and sidewalk sales throughout town; be sure to get a list of local businesses with in-store specials at the Farmers Market or visit the Marlette Area Chamber of Commerce Facebook page.

Craft and Vintage Show vendors will sell their goods from 1 to 7 p.m. along Morris Street. Food trucks will be on-site through the afternoon.

Bring your lawn chair for local band “Gemini” that will kick-start entertainment from 3 to 7 p.m. on the grass lot downtown.

Classic and special interest car owners can polish up for the open car cruise hosted by Russ Kraft that will start at the Marlette Train Depot.

Check-in begins at 5 p.m., a concerted departure takes place at 5:30 p.m., and the cruise will wrap up at 6:30 p.m.  Spectators are welcome to bring a lawn chair downtown to watch the cruise.

Restaurants will have dine-in and carry out specials; be sure to get a list of local businesses with in-store specials at the Farmers Market or visit the Marlette Area Chamber of Commerce Facebook page.

Wrapping up the evening, “Captain Underpants” will be the free family movie in the park at 8 p.m.

Free will donations will be accepted to support Marlette Park & Pool improvements.
