Three Port Huron schools close due to Coronavirus

Classes in three Port Huron schools have been cancelled for at least two weeks, following reports of confirmed cases of COVID-19 at each of the three schools. Students that were attending classes face-to-face at Port Huron Northern, Fort Gratiot Middle, and Keewahdin Elementary Schools will be participasting in virtual learning during the shutdown. Building principals will allow students to return to their schools this week at designated times to gather supplies from the building. Food service will also continue at Port Huron Northern High School with the first weekly meal pickup taking place Tuesday afternoon. According to a press release from the district, all other buildings in the Port Huron Area School District remain open for classes at this time.
