(HURON COUNTY) – A 36-year old Croswell man pleaded guilty to three charges in connection to an incident earlier this year where he had driven into the Huron County Medical Care Facility at the west end of Bad Axe, along M-53.

According to court records, Billy James Werth Jr. pleaded guilty to unlawfully driving away a motor vehicle, which is a felony and two misdemeanors of failure to stop at an injury accident and reckless driving.

As part of the plea agreement, Werth must pay full restitution and the prosecutor will adopt the recommendation from the Department of Corrections for incarceration time.

Sentencing is scheduled for November 9th and Werth had his bond continued.
