(TUSCOLA COUNTY) – Deputies from the Tuscola County Sheriff’s Department were dispatched at about 2:00 a.m. Thursday morning for a report of a home invasion and assault of a female on south Cemetery Road in Kingston Township.
Authorities say a 95 year-old female resident reported an unknown male had broken into her home through a window and then threatened and assaulted the elderly female resident before fleeing the home.
With the assistance from Michigan State Police Troopers, a 27 year-old suspect from Clarkston, was located in the woods near the home and arrested, according to a report issued by Tuscola County Sheriff Glen Skrent.
The Sheriff said the victim did not seek medical treatment and the case remains under investigation.
